Hp Touchpad getting discounted to clear out inventory of many resellers. Due to its limitations on the hardware and not beeing comptetive comapred to the iPad of Apple, drastic sales reduction is ongoing right now.
HP is also suspending production on it and will focus more on software and hardware as they did before in the pc/-desktop niche.
Also bad on the Touchpad was it´s thickness and choice of materials. There is also a limited app selection, but it provieds flash-enable web browsing and an excellent compatibility with third party calendar, messaging and e-mail services.
Earlier this week, sources within the tablet manufacturing industry stated that upcoming price cuts from vendors could trigger a price war in order to gain price advantages over competitors.
